Every major survey done on the massage therapy profession has shown extremely high levels of attrition amongst therapists. One survey in the U.S. estimated that out of a total of 250,000 therapists nationwide, 50,000 were leaving the profession each year. Why are therapists leaving the profession at such high rates? The two main reasons given are:
1. Dissatisfaction with income
2. The physical toll on the body
To continue providing this rewarding and valuable service it’s imperative that therapists learn skills that allow them to increase their client volumes and retention while reducing wear and tear on their bodies. At the National Wellness Institute of Education, we are dedicated to providing the best quality training possible to teach you skills that will add years to your career!
